Mayville Chapter Awards $3,000 in Scholarships to Local Students Committed to Conservation Careers

Honoring Academic Excellence and Environmental Dedication in Lomira, Mayville, and Horicon

In a continued effort to support the next generation of conservation leaders, the Wings Over Wisconsin – Mayville Chapter is proud to announce the awarding of three $1,000 scholarships to outstanding high school seniors from Lomira, Mayville, and Horicon.

These scholarships recognize students who have not only demonstrated academic achievement, but also shown a clear dedication to pursuing careers in conservation, wildlife management, or animal studies. Each student stood out for their passion for the natural world and their commitment to protecting it for future generations.

“Wings Over Wisconsin is built on the belief that conservation starts with education and community,” said a chapter representative. “These students are proof that Wisconsin’s wild places will be in good hands.”

Supporting Future Stewards of the Land

Wings Over Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization devoted to preserving Wisconsin’s wildlife habitat through community-based efforts and youth involvement. Each local chapter, including the active Mayville Chapter, works closely with area schools and families to foster conservation awareness and opportunities.

By awarding these scholarships, the Mayville Chapter is investing directly in the future of conservation—not just through words, but through action.

“This scholarship is more than financial support,” said one recipient. “It’s motivation to keep going. Knowing that there’s a community that believes in what I want to do means everything.”
