Deansville Property-Wide Conservation Plan
The Deansville Property-Wide Conservation Plan is a 2018 Wetland Reserve Easement Management Plan for the 440-acre Wings Over Wisconsin property in Dane County. The document records the property’s restoration history, wetland and upland plant communities, rare calcareous fen, emergent marsh habitat, invasive plant concerns, water-control system, and recommended practices for protecting and improving wildlife habitat.

The Tri-County Committee is using this plan as part of a new grant application to remove reed canary grass from the area surrounding the fen in the southwest corner of the property. Posting the plan publicly demonstrates that the proposed project is part of a broader, long-term conservation strategy that includes invasive-species control, seasonal water-level management, habitat monitoring, and protection of native wetland vegetation.
